Gatorade, the original isotonic sports drink, is returning at the 2009 TCR Show with the Gatorade Theatre. The Gatorade Theatre was a first at the 2008 TCR show and proved to be extremely successful, offering top tips and advice from both professional athletes including Olympians Alistair Brownlee (Triathlon) and Tim Brabants (Gold and Bronze medallist canoeing/avid triathlete) and Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI) scientists.
This year the theatre sessions, each 60-minutes long, run along the topic of 'Improving your Performance' with seminars on swimming, biking and running techniques as well as the psychological aspects of racing and nutrition advice. Within each seminar there will be the opportunity for a QandA session with Gatorade experts to answer questions for improving performance in the triathlon world. Simon Ward founder of thetriathloncoach.com will chair the forums. Simon has coached almost 150 triathletes to complete Ironman events including several Hawaii qualifiers (and finishers) and will be available throughout the seminars for tips and advice.
After each seminar, two lucky attendees will swim, bike or run away with a Gatorade Hydration pack consisting of a three month supply of product, 6 bike bottles and limited edition Gatorade running top (worth £75). Also, all attendees will be entered into a draw to win a six month remote coaching programme from thetriathloncoach.com, hydration pack and a set of Asics trainers. All sessions are free, included in the cost of the TCR show ticket.
