About This Training Program

This ironman training program is designed to take into account the nature of the Ironman Switzerland course which is a hilly bike section and a flat run.

If you live in a flat area then you will need to travel to ride the hills as this is a particular skill which will be important for race day – not only climbing but also descending.

Your running will mostly be on the flat and you will need to learn what pace you can maintain for the marathon.
