Kona – I’ve arrived

In Ironman of TTC (October 6, 2008 3:22 pm)

Aloha

The only downside of a Hawaii trip is the travel time from the UK. Yesterday I was on the go for 27 hours before I got to my condo (that’s 15hrs of flying and 12 hours hanging around in airports). With an 11 hour time difference my body thinks it’s the afternoon, hence the early hour of my post; I couldn’t sleep. By the time I have adjusted to Kona time I’ll be getting back on a plane to the UK ready to start the acclimatisation process again

In an ideal world I guess I’d stay here for a month. Hey ho. Maybe next year.

In the meantime I’m heading down to the beach to meet Dion at 7am for a swim. Its a 4 mile run from our condo and if you know me then you’ll know that early morning is not my favourite time for a run. Unfortunately I have no choice as I don’t have any other transport sorted out yet.

The rest of the CompuTrainer guys get here later so some of the day will be spent setting up for the expo and I also have some interviews to arrange for our new website project – TriathlonPB.com.

That’s all for now. Got to head off to the beach.

See you tomorrow for the next installment of “Wardy Goes to Kona”
