The Olympics

In Races of TTC (August 20, 2008 8:07 pm)

Well, wasn’t that a great race. Obviously we were all shouting for Alistair Brownlee and he put up a great show. Alistair’s motto is “Who Dares Wins” so it was no surprise to see him at the front of the bike and also taking the run out in the first 5k. he’s definitely a big medal hope for London 2012 along with Will Clarke who didn’t feature as much in the race but finished only a couple of places behind Alistair

And how many people would have picked Frodeno to lead out a sprint from Sydney 2000 winner Simon Whitfield. So many  people thought that Gomez was a shoe in but my pick was Docherty. I really though he was going to go one better than Athens as he came to the last turn. Still, that’s what the Olympics is all about. Athletes raising their game on the day when it counts. And that is what Frodeno and Snowsill did.
