
Having gained experience coaching both adults and juniors with Leeds and Bradford Triathlon Club Carol became the founder coach at Craven Energy Triathlon club (formed in April 2009). She has established regular training sessions and organised a variety of training events for a wide range of athletes from novice to experienced age group triathlete. In addition to being an active club coach she is facilitating the growth of coaching provision within this club.
In her coaching Carol draws on her professional background in physiotherapy, and experience as a yoga teacher to help athletes realise their potential and enjoy their sport whilst juggling the demands of a busy life.
Carol competes in triathlon and having sampled all distances, she now favours middle and Ironman distance along with challenging events such as Helvellyn Triathlon and adventure races. Since discovering triathlon 7 years ago Carol has been an enthusiastic competitor and has reaped the rewards of TTC coaching by gaining numerous age group podium finishes and national medals.
Carol competed for the GB age group team in Olympic Distance World Championships in 2004 and 2005 and qualified for Xterra World Championships in 2006 by winning her age group at Xterra UK. She also competed at Clearwater 70.3 World Championships in 2008.
