Scott Rigsby + Wardy
This morning we had our very first “CompuTrainer fun ride.”
12 athletes, some competing on Saturday joined us for a ride out to the airport. The idea was for
After the ride it was back to the first full day of the Expo and we have had a steady stream of people interested in the CompuTrainer and especially our new real course videos.
Numbers seemed to drop off quite a lot in the afternoon and that gave me the opportunity to catch up with some more interesting personalities.

I also met Scott Rigsby. Scott was the first double amputee to complete the Ironman in 2007. In 2006 he decided to do this race and told me that his biggest problem was that he couldn’t swim and he didn’t have a bike. Notice that he never mentioned the lack of 2 lower limbs. A quick chat with Scott and I realized that in fact he never uses this as an excuse for what he can and can’t do. I contrast this with so many people I meet who say they would love to do triathlon but, and then it’s followed by some excuse like “I have a busy life” or “you don’t understand my kids need me to taxi them everywhere” or even potential personal training clients who come up with some any excuse to avoid exercise most of which are pretty lame.
You should meet Scott and then don’t ever tell me you can’t do something.
So enough of my ranting. I’ll have more for you tomorrow.
